Role Summary  

Ensuring all innovation, NPD and EPD activity is fit for manufacture and delivers the right quality and financial criteria required by the business for both its brands and customer brands.  

You will manage projects from final prototype to launch. You will support and collaborate with site team members to ensure they have what they require to deliver on their accountabilities ensuring you have what you need to deliver yours. You will also build relationships externally with suppliers.  

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities  

Manage the delivery of projects using the company's NPD process from brief to post launch review. 

Ensure all new products & processes are transferred from final prototype to production by providing process specifications, completing necessary trials to deliver confidence and reliability, establish process capability & control instructions.  

Monitor and manage trial budget and overhead spend and introduce measures where appropriate to control the budget  

Ensure all new products and packaging meet commercial, financial, technical and legislation requirements  

Responsibility for ensuring the necessary information is provided to technical to complete product manuals for all new products prior to commercial launch  

Keep abreast of technical and legal developments relevant to our product portfolio  

Keep up-to date with the market trends and new developments within the category  

Qualifications, Experience, Technical Skills & Knowledge  

Project management skills including critical path analysis 

Financial understanding. Costing and gross margin. 

Excellent understanding of food manufacturing processes and the overall market particularly related to healthy snacking  

Food Science background – Innovation, NPD, EPD, process with commercial bias  

Sound knowledge of raw materials and packaging across the market  

Constant drive, enthusiasm, and self-motivation with ability to motivate others cross functionally  

Committed, disciplined and well organised  

Management of process, reporting and paperwork  

Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business  

Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines  

Ideally at least 3 years’ experience in the food industry NPD, Process Engineering or Technical FMCG environment  

Thrives in a fast pace environment  

Fully computer literate
