Description
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflow and meeting production targets.
- Lead and manage production teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (BRC, HACCP) and maintain high-quality production standards.
- Monitor and optimize production schedules to maximize output and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is operating efficiently and safely.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure the timely procurement of raw materials for production.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting employee training, engagement, and development.
Profile
A successful Production Manager should have:
- Qualifications in operations, engineering, food science, or related field.
- Demonstrable experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (BRC, HACCP) and experience in compliance.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage production teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in process optimisation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to drive performance improvements.
