Our client, a major player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Process Engineer for an 8-month contract in Glascoed. This position involves working 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing manufacturing processes from concept through to commissioning and qualification
  • Acting as the first point of contact for process queries within the team
  • Managing process technical requirements and providing expertise in risk management processes
  • Supporting the tendering process with engineering expertise
  • Implementing Safe System of Work in line with company and statutory requirements
  • Technical management of the commissioning and qualification process
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities on existing products and processes
  • Planning and introducing process changes in a controlled manner


Job Requirements:

  • Proven capability in developing manufacturing processes, including system integration in a defence and security context
  • Experience in handling powders, liquids, or slurries through pressing, casting, or extrusion processes
  • Desirable knowledge in materials technology or fluids
  • Aptitude for learning and developing expertise in new subject areas where necessary
  • Understanding of Non-Destructive Techniques (NDT) and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Systems is beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
