Legal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Residential Property Department. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks supporting residential conveyancing transactions and will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of service.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions.
  • Produce legal documentation under supervision, including Contracts and Transfers.
  • Transcribe letters and other correspondence using digital dictation.
  • Maintain files to the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) standard.
  • Complete and submit Land Registry forms.
  • Deal with clients both in person and over the telephone.
  • Undertake housekeeping duties such as filing to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous legal support/secretarial experience within a residential property department.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent typing skills and proficiency in using MS Word, Outlook, and Digital Dictation.
  • Experience working with a Case Management System.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with clients.
