We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Residential Property Department. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks supporting residential conveyancing transactions and will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of service.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions.
- Produce legal documentation under supervision, including Contracts and Transfers.
- Transcribe letters and other correspondence using digital dictation.
- Maintain files to the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) standard.
- Complete and submit Land Registry forms.
- Deal with clients both in person and over the telephone.
- Undertake housekeeping duties such as filing to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Previous legal support/secretarial experience within a residential property department.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent typing skills and proficiency in using MS Word, Outlook, and Digital Dictation.
- Experience working with a Case Management System.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Exceptional communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with clients.
