An exciting new position with an industry-leading aerospace business - one of my clients are currently seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Team Leader to join the business. As industry-leading test and measurement equipment manufacturers, this business is currently experiencing a rapid period of growth whilst still maintaining a strong ethos of collaboration and community within their staff. As a Supply Chain Team Leader, you will be responsible for supplier management - from the qualification of new suppliers to supply chain contract and risk management. You will be responsible for overseeing a team to ensure continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • You will oversee a team of 6 operations and logistics admin staff - this is a brand new team that you will manage to ensure targets are met.
  • You will oversee all aspects of supplier management: from qualifying new suppliers and managing current supplier relationships, to overseeing supplier contracts and supplier expedites.
  • You will work to drive continuous improvement within the supply chain - looking to produce performance reports to ensure the business is working with the best suppliers - both in a financial and efficiency sense.
  • You will oversee supply chain risk management to mitigate any issues that may arise in relation to this.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • People management experience is essential - at least 2 years'.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working within supplier management in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of supply chain and supplier management.
  • An understanding of test equipment is preferred but not essential.
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and driven to achieve workplace goals independently.
