Our client, a leading service sector business with offices across the Southern region are recruiting a Group Financial Controller. The position offers hybrid and remote working with a flexible approach required to attend a Dorset based head office. This is a key leadership role that leads a finance team of 4 direct reports and 3 indirect reports.

Key duties will include: -

  • Responsible for the delivery of all external financial reporting, statutory returns and submissions;
  • Lead the production of the group’s statutory accounts including the statutory consolidation and managing the external audit, leading the wider group finance team through the process;
  • Consolidation and preparation of the group’s monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts, whilst also overseeing the group’s fixed asset accounting;
  • Managing, maintaining and developing two key group financial systems;
  • Identifying, assessing and implementing process improvements across finance whilst championing a culture of continuous improvement;

As the ideal candidate you will be:

  • Fully qualified with strong technical accounting skills;
  • Working knowledge of complex group consolidations;
  • Previous experience of preparing statutory accounts and managing external audit.
