Talent Guardian are partnered with a company seeking a Senior Accountant (Fully Qualified ACCA/ACA) to join a team in Poole. You’ll manage a portfolio of around 75-100 clients, overseeing the preparation of their accounts and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards. You’ll have the opportunity to mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and providing guidance as they develop their skills.  This is a great opportunity to focus on client management, tax planning, and compliance, while managing a team of junior accountants and ensuring the smooth delivery of accounting services.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of 75-100 clients, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of accounts.
  • Review and train junior staff, providing feedback to support their development.
  • Focus on tax planning, compliance, and year-end preparation with clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Manage tax returns (corporate and personal) and provide advice.
  • Oversee the preparation of management accounts and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Stay current with accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or equivalent, with practice experience.
  • Experience managing a client portfolio and reviewing junior staff work.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax laws.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
