TeamJobs is recruiting for an Assistant Operations Officer on behalf of our client, a well-respected not for profit organisation based in Poole. This role supports the Operations Officer in managing a wide range of activities designed to bring together members through events and community gatherings.

  • 25,000 pro rata (full time equivalent)
  • Part-time, 20 hours per week, flexible
  • 25 days holiday - Plus bank holidays
  • Poole, Dorset

The primary focus of the role is managing and administering multi-function conference rooms, as well as coordinating the organisation's sports clubs. Additionally, you will assist in planning and delivering various activities that cater to different interests, including group events, trips, and local community gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookings and oversee the upkeep of the organisation's amenities, including working with partners on facility bookings.
  • Handle conference room bookings and ensure maximum usage of the facilities.
  • Assist with the coordination and governance of the organisation's sports clubs.
  • Support the Operations Manager in planning and delivering events alongside regional representatives.
  • Research and assist in developing group activities and events for members.
  • Liaise with regional representatives to facilitate local gatherings and commemorative events.
  • Assist with covering team tasks during staff absences due to leave, training, or illness.

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce reports and briefs.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Budget management experience, with the ability to work effectively with limited resources.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of wellbeing practices and statutory responsibilities within the non-profit sector.
  • Familiarity with GDPR compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
