Business Unit Manager, Poole, £50,000

The purpose of this role

With a background in Sales Management as Business Unit Manager you will be responsible for managing the sales and customer services teams and will play a crucial role in budget setting, planning and delivery of sales. Reporting directly into the Head of Sales, you will work extremely closely with the Executive Team focusing collaboratively on strategic growth and profitability.  

With a natural flair for continuous improvement and the ability to foster a working culture of positivity and productivity, you will ensure customer service excellence, retention and the management of sales initiatives.

As Business Unit Manager you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing, coaching, and motivating the sales and customer service teams to achieve exceptional performance and customer service excellence
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to meet growth objectives, track sales targets, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
  • Overseeing the inputs for maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring high-quality support, and providing feedback for improvement
  • Enhancing the sales processes, collaborating with other departments like marketing and product development, and streamlining operations
  • Tracking sales and customer metrics, preparing reports, and reporting through to key stakeholders 

Skills & Experience required as Business Unit Manager :

  • Prior experience within a sales management role
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • An analytical mindset with a clear focus on continuous improvement
  • Prior experience of setting and achieving goals and KPIs/metrics
