About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Internal Sales Team Leader to join our dynamic sales team in Poole. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate, coach, and drive a sales team to achieve and exceed targets. The team manages a mix of inbound and outbound sales, and we need someone who can challenge, support, and inspire them to perform at their best.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and maximise productivity of the sales team.
  • Offer support, training, and development to the sales team.
  • Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the sales team and strive to achieve sales targets.
  • Accurately process quotations and orders received via telephone, email, live chat, or fax in a timely manner.
  • Ensure a seamless and efficient order fulfilment process.
  • Handle customer inquiries with a polite and efficient approach, providing detailed information and assistance.
  • Proactively make outbound calls for account management, lead generation, and new business development.
  • Engage with potential and existing clients to foster strong relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Offer guidance and advice on our full range of products to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Liaise with other departments and suppliers to ensure all quotes are technically correct and meet customer requirements.
  • Upsell and cross-sell additional products during the sales process, maximising revenue opportunities.
  • Actively push yourself and the team to learn about the company's products and services to enhance sales capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records using HubSpot CRM and other available platforms.
  • Perform general sales administrative tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.

About you:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience in an outbound sales or lead generation environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills at all levels.
  • High-performance coaching abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and HubSpot CRM.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets.

Desirable Experience:

  • A track record of consistent sales achievement over the past two years.
  • Technical knowledge of Natural & Mechanical Smoke Control Systems.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Selling to electrical contractors, developers, and builders and conservatory industry.
  • Understanding of contract documentation and construction drawings.
