National Account Manager
Salary: Negotiable Dependent on Experience + £6K car allowance
Location: Poole, Dorset
Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm
Our client, a leading manufacturer of commercial and residential goods with a global reach, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented National Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing key relationships with major national accounts, driving significant revenue growth, and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximise sales and profitability within assigned accounts.
- Deeply understand customer businesses, including their product needs, market trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, including product launches, cross-selling, and market expansions.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, product development, supply chain) to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at the customer level.
- Conduct regular customer meetings, effectively presenting product offerings, pricing strategies, and value propositions.
- Negotiate and secure favourable terms and pricing agreements with key accounts.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports.
Skills/Experience Required for National Account Manager:
- 5+ years of successful sales experience within a relevant industry, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets with national accounts.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build rapport with key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse data and identify key trends.
- Results-oriented with a strong drive to succeed and exceed expectations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
