An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Brake Press Operator to join a well-established metalwork fabrication company in Poole.

Based in Poole, Dorset, we are a trusted and long-established metalwork fabrication company with a reputation for delivering high-quality, precision-engineered solutions to a wide range of industries-including construction, architectural, and bespoke design sectors. 

With decades of experience, our team combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to meet the demands of complex and custom fabrication projects.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm

Salary: £16 per hour + Overtime

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate brake press machinery to bend and form metal components
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards through regular checks
  • Adjust machine settings as required for different jobs
  • Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Work to production schedules and contribute to team targets
  • Follow health & safety procedures at all times

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience operating a brake press in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
  • Experience with CNC brake presses
  • Familiarity with other workshop machinery (e.g., laser cutters, guillotines)
