Based in Poole, Dorset, Moore International Ltd has a full-time,permanent vacancy for a CNC Turner to work in our Engineering Department. You will work within an established and successful manufacturing business that has been trading since 1997.

Moore International Ltd has considerable machining capabilities. We manufacture components from 1 off to large batch runs and have a diverse client base, including the automotive, motor sport, railway,medical and hydraulic sectors. Our fully equipped machine shop can accommodate most engineering challenges efficiently and economically.

Key Responsibilities as a CNC Turner:

  • Working in our Turning section, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct tools are used/sourced.
  • Helping to oversee the training of apprentices.
  • Work to close tolerances.
  • Ensure consistent quality.
  • Monitor CNC machinery when running.
  • Inspect some 1st offs and final across the shop.

Skills and Experience Required as a CNC Turner:

  • Fully Competent with Fanuc Control systems.
  • CNC Programming experience preferred.
  • CNC Turning (Mill-turn Knowledge would be as an advantage. However, training can be provided).
  • Good time Management.
  • Understanding of materials and the best way to machine them.
  • Good Attention to detail.
  • A knowledge of CMM would be an advantage.
