JOB TITLE: Credit Controller

CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS: 40 hours per week, 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

START: ASAP

SALARY: Up to £30,000 depending on experience

LOCATION: Poole

The role:

  • Monitor and manage the debtor accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers.
  • Set up and maintain customer credit limits.
  • Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters.
  • Resolve payment disputes and negotiate payment plans.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on credit control activities and debtor status.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve billing issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of credit control principles and practices.
