Excellent opportunity for an experienced SQL DBA to join an excellent clients Infrastructure team. The successful DBA should have extensive experience working with SQL and will need to be confident working to their own initiative as this will predominantly be a stand alone role. Most of the team are based near Poole 3-4 days a week but our client are happy for this role to be mainly remote. The expectation is that you will need to go to the office 1-2 times per month.

Skills required:

  • Excellent Hands-on MS SQ skills including deployment, administration using industry standard best practices.
  • Advanced MS SQL Backup & Recovery, disaster recovery skills
  • SQL Scripting & Support
  • Optimize MS SQL identify query execution, explain plans, system efficiency using SQL tools available.
  • Manage MS SQL database security, permissions, user access control (groups &roles), authentication, auditing, vulnerability.
  • MS SQL Migration strategy, data migration, upgrades, release & version management, fixes & patching.
  • Capacity management overall reporting, MS SQL object storage management, system resources.
  • MS SQL Identify & Automate tasks with scripts.
  • Develop, Maintain SQL documentation, configurations and procedures
