We are recruiting for a Senior Electronic Engineer for a successful British manufacturer of USB Chargers, DC-DC voltage converters, and power supplies serving the communications, rail, automotive and marine markets. 

The company design and manufacture all its own products, supplying to markets across the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop switched-mode power supply products from the initial conception through to production.
  • Lead and collaborate with a small cross-functional team of engineers
  • Generate product specifications, designs, and test methods
  • Troubleshooting faults in prototype and production units
  • Design of production test systems for new products
  • Estimate and deliver technical development to tight timescales
  • Provide expertise during product roadmap development
  • Mentor developing engineers

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in an Electronics Engineering field
  • 5+ years experience of electronic circuit design, preferably analogue or power electronics, in a relevant industry
  • Schematic design experience and some experience of PCB layout
  • Experience of testing and debugging prototype electronic designs
  • Experience of design for manufacturing techniques
  • Experience of regulatory standards and approval process, EMC, LVD, etc.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team as a technical lead
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills
  • Excellent communication skills
