TeamJobs is proud to be partnering with a leading Funeral Directors in Poole, seeking an experienced and qualified Mortuary Manager to join their dedicated team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a full-time embalmer with a minimum of three years' experience to work in a state-of-the-art embalming theatre.

Position Details:

  • Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 per annum (DOE) with a potential relocation package if needed
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
  • Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week, permanent
  • Overtime: Potential to earn an additional 8,500 per year by joining the on-call rota
  • Annual Leave: 28 days, increasing to 33 days with service
  • Pension: Generous company pension plan, with the company contributing 8% towards the workplace pension scheme

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations in a newly built embalming theatre
  • Collaborate closely with Funeral Directors and other team members to ensure the highest standards are met
  • Complete relevant administrative duties efficiently and professionally

What We're Looking For:

  • Experienced Embalmer: Fully qualified with at least three years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate and Empathetic: Understands the importance of the role and is committed to providing care and respect to the deceased and their families
  • Attention to Detail: Takes pride in delivering a meaningful and fitting tribute to celebrate the life of the deceased
  • Physically Fit: Able to safely lift and handle heavy weights in line with manual handling procedures
  • Team Player: Works well with internal stakeholders, contributing to a collaborative and professional environment
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and telephone systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence: Required for this role
