Education Operations & Governance Manager

Salary to c £42,000

Location Poole

We are searching for an experience Governance and Compliance Manager for an impressive Educational organisation, to implement the Governance and compliance strategy and maintain high quality governance across the organisation. You will manage a team of Governance Officers and will be responsible for successfully embedding the Governance framework to ensure the organisation remains compliant. Full or part-time candidates with relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Leading continuous improvement of governance through policy development aligned with organisational values
  • Managing a policy review schedule to ensure timely approvals
  • Supporting the drafting, formatting and reviewing of documentation for submission to Board Committees
  • Advising on governance and compliance best practices, including legal matters for the Board and Local Authority
  • Managing a team that supports local governance
  • Development of statutory policies including safeguarding
  • Website updates
  • Assisting in meeting planning, minute taking and action tracking
  • Ensuring accurate governance records, including the register of business interests
  • Leading recruitment and succession planning for relevant staff
  • Supporting compliance audits and assisting in wider meetings as required

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Educational governance procedures, law and regulations
  • Experienced of managing a team
  • Proven experience working in Education and Governance
  • Degree Level educated ideally
