The School and Role
An SEN school based in Bournemouth is currently seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school聽provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with complex needs and disabilities, from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Post 16. The school is designed to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of the students, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need to thrive.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) who will work closely with our teaching staff and support students with a range of needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional challenges. Your role will be vital in fostering an inclusive educational environment and ensuring that each child receives the individual support they require.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with diverse needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to different situations.
Whilst previous experience of working with children and young people with learning difficulties and/or social communication difficulties is desirable but not essential. We will also consider applicants with experience in care, sports coaching, mental health support, or similar roles with transferrable skills.聽
