Procurement & Stock Manager - Poole

We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Stock Manager to join our clients expanding company in a full-time, permanent position. This new role is crucial as we aim to implement new systems and oversee all aspects of procurement and stock management. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to manage procurement functions effectively and drive continuous improvement.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the daily operations of the procurement function.
- Monitor and check prices paid for materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms and influence their performance.
- Identify and implement improvements in procurement processes and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and communicate any issues to ensure continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Prepare and provide monthly reports on procurement savings and efficiencies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Procurement & Stock Manager role.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Initiative-taking and flexible work ethic.
