CAD Engineer, Poole, £38,000

Purpose

As a CAD Engineer you’ll be involved in both the design and production of high end, bespoke furniture, and structural internals. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a huge variety of materials to ensure each item created is something special.

Rubicon Recruitment’s client is an established manufacturer who pride themselves on tapping into high growth sectors as they arise. In the last decade they have managed to successfully capitalise on numerous gaps within the market which has facilitated huge growth and opportunity.

Presently they have a huge order book for their existing product range and are on the cusp of moving into a new sector.

As CAD Engineer, you will:

  • Follow established procedures and standards for the production, saving, and distribution of drawings, cutting sheets, and schedules for ironmongery and doors.
  • Clarify instructions received from internal teams or the client.
  • Conduct site surveys as necessary.
  • Submit drawings for review by the Drawing Office Manager prior to release, implementing any necessary revisions before distribution.
  • Record and report any additional time spent revising drawings that exceeds the standard allocated time.
  • Ensure drawings and materials are approved and signed off by the client team or Contract Manager.
  • Coordinate the distribution of samples as required.
  • Ensure timely production and distribution of drawings, cutting sheets, and related documents.
  • Communicate any revisions or amendments to the relevant individuals in a timely manner.
  • Provide clear, precise instructions to both internal teams and third-party collaborators.

The successful CAD Engineer will:

  • Have strong AutoCAD experience.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and confidently at various levels.
  • Previously have worked closely with multiple departments including production, engineering, procurement and quality.
