Prospero Teaching are working with a lovely nurturing and inclusive early years school in Poole that is dedicated to providing outstanding education and care for children with a range of SEN, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs. As an SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the teacher in delivering engaging, child-centred lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
- Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Work closely with SENDCOs, therapists, and teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
- Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to support each child's development.
- Use innovative strategies to promote communication, social skills, and independence.
- Provide personal care and support for children where necessary.
What we need from you:
- Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in an early years setting.
- A deep understanding of child development, play-based learning, and sensory needs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and creative approach to supporting learning.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
