Sheridan Maine is partnering with a dynamic payroll department based in central Poole to recruit for a self-driven Payroll Assistant with exceptional communication and time management skills to join their team.This role provides a flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing for 2 days of remote work and 3 days in the Poole office.Key Responsibilities:
  • Running weekly, monthly, and quarterly payrolls for clients
  • Managing a portfolio of client payrolls
  • Addressing client queries related to payroll
  • Collaborating with HMRC regarding employee payments
  • Inputting and verifying starters/leavers
  • Handling P45s, P69s, holiday pay, salaries, worked hours, overtime, expenses, mileage, bonus payments, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP)
  • Conducting auto-enrolment reconciliations and assessments
  • Generating PAYE schedules for clients, calculating deductions such as student loans, employer’s allowance, and CIS tax suffered
  • Establishing new PAYE schemes with HMRC
  • Coordinating with pension providers
  • Executing RTI year-end procedures, including issuing declarations for client signature and P60s
