GSL Education are seeking a caring and committed ASD Support Worker to join a friendly and inclusive school in Poole. This rewarding role offers the chance to make a real impact by supporting students with ASD, helping them gain confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their goals. Working alongside teachers and specialists, you will provide personalised support, ensuring each student receives the encouragement and guidance they need to flourish in their learning journey.

Responsibilities of the ASD Support Worker:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with ASD.
  • Assist in the development of individual learning plans tailored to student needs.
  • Foster a structured and supportive environment that promotes engagement and well-being.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to support student progress.
  • Encourage social interaction, communication skills, and independent learning.


Requirements of the ASD Support Worker:

  • Experience working with children or young people with ASD (desirable but not essential).
  • A calm, patient, and understanding approach to supporting students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
