Temp to Permanent position

The Company

This well established organisation distribute welding products to a wide variety of customers throughout South Wales from 2 branches. They offer their customers an extensive product range and excellent service. The company is currently expanding and looking for an additional Office Administrator to assist the existing administration team.

The Role

This is a brand new, full time position in the administration team, taking on duties from the existing team members. It is a back office role providing administrative support for the companies 2 branches.

You will work on site at the Port Talbot branch, Monday - Thursday 8.30AM - 5.00PM and Friday 8.00AM - 4:30PM.

The role will start as a temporary assignment with view to becoming permanent within the first few weeks.

Duties will include:

  • Handling incoming calls from customers and suppliers
  • Working on an in-house computer package (training will be provided)
  • Invoicing
  • Working with the purchase and sales ledger
  • Debtors
  • Data capturing
  • General administration
  • Filing
  • Assisting the administration team wherever needed

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Previous administration experience is essential
  • Able to handle a large variety of tasks
  • A quick learner
  • Solid computer literacy skills using MS Office
  • Experience using an accounting package or in house equivalent system
  • A flexible person happy to help out where required
  • True team player
  • Friendly and positive approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills
