Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Customer Support Representative to provide first-class service to both internal and external customers for our client in Port Talbot. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing customer relationships and handling detailed technical assessments and quotations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Receive and review customer RFQs, deciding on the next steps for quotation.
- Engage in customer communications to meet expectations and clarify requirements.
- Assess technical and commercial implications of RFQs.
- Coordinate with procurement and production departments to establish pricing and timelines.
- Manage the quotation process from initial customer contact to the submission of the quotation package.
- Maintain professionalism in all customer interactions and manage the quotation workload to meet targets.
- Oversee the order process, ensuring all project actions align with the plan.
- Act as the primary contact for project sites, addressing all relevant issues.
- Provide regular status reports on project progress and address any concerns.
- Coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely and correct order dispatch.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, data sheets, and specification documents.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of professional interaction at all levels.
- Proactive in owning customer issues, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented, with effective collaboration skills both within and outside the department.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP is an asset.
- Knowledge of a foreign language is beneficial due to the international customer base.
