Reed is partnered with a Manufacturing company based in Port Talbot who are looking to add a Tool Room Technician to their Engineering team. This will be an opportunity to work in a modern facility manufacturing products that are used in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industries.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Preparing tooling and changeover equipment in advance of upcoming changeovers
- Inspection of tools returned to the tool room for defects and quality
- Ensure all tools are cleaned on return to the tool room
- Stock control and ordering parts as necessary
- Internal calibration of all internal measurement equipment
- Support with coaching and training of production team during changeovers
- Record keeping and documentation (tools, calibration checks, etc.)
- Housekeeping within the tool room
- Internal audits
- Owner of tool room processes and procedures
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- HNC in Engineering
- Time served apprenticeship in Engineering
