Reed is partnered with a Manufacturing company based in Port Talbot who are looking to add a Tool Room Technician to their Engineering team. This will be an opportunity to work in a modern facility manufacturing products that are used in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industries.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing tooling and changeover equipment in advance of upcoming changeovers
  • Inspection of tools returned to the tool room for defects and quality
  • Ensure all tools are cleaned on return to the tool room
  • Stock control and ordering parts as necessary
  • Internal calibration of all internal measurement equipment
  • Support with coaching and training of production team during changeovers
  • Record keeping and documentation (tools, calibration checks, etc.)
  • Housekeeping within the tool room
  • Internal audits
  • Owner of tool room processes and procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • HNC in Engineering
  • Time served apprenticeship in Engineering
