Join the forefront of one of the UK’s leading Transport Haulage companies as a Transport Manager. Operating within a dynamic General Haulage context, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to their logistical success while cultivating customer-centric growth.

The Candidate;

  • National and International CPC Transport Management qualification is essential
  • Proven experience within the management of circa 25+ Artics
  • Commercial Transport Management experience, based on a customer site.
  • Strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in analytical skills, allowing you to utilise data-driven insights to influence and enhance performance and compliance.
  • IT literacy encompassing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for efficient communication and data management.
  • Experienced with EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) Legislation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • A working knowledge of Tachograph legislation, allowing you to effectively manage related compliance aspects.

Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Responsible for daily risk assessments in yard and office areas, ensuring safety protocols are firmly in place and potential hazards are identified.
  • Enforce Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations across staff, particularly drivers, addressing non-compliance actively.
  • Manage Tachograph compliance, employing analysis for insightful reports and action initiation.
  • Oversee DVSA stops, including logging and actionable plans development.
  • Identify CPC non-compliance instances, promptly reporting findings to National Transport Manager.
  • Coordinate absence, holidays, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient coverage and seamless operations.
  • Manage depot payroll, agency bookings, overtime, and pay queries while projecting staffing levels effectively.
