The Workshop Engineer will be working within Hydro International's UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team. We support water utility companies by improving sewage sites across the United Kingdom.

We are looking for an experienced/qualified Mechanical Engineer to join us at our Portland branch.

In this job you will

- Work in our new Nottingham branch which covers the East Midlands and surrounding areas.

- Responsible for all workshop repairs / refurbishments ensuring work is kept to the agreed quote in terms of monetary value & time.

- Responsible for the compliance and examinations of lifting equipment.

- Maintain a safe and clean environment and ensure staff use all safe procedures and equipment as prescribed in appropriate risk assessment.

- Be prepared to work away if required / attend callouts.

- To mentor new engineers within the workshop environment and oversee when working in the workshop.

- Work as a team with other staff and trades within the business.

About You

- Current Valid Driving License

- CSCS card

- Previous engineering / electrical qualifications (G & G / Apprenticeship) including welding.

- Forklift experience and license.

- Knowledge of water industry and inlet / water equipment (desirable).

- Computer Literate.

- Good communicator both written and verbal.

- Willingness to work outside of normal hours if required.
