New RF Design Engineer job available near Portsmouth, Hampshire

We are currently looking for a RF Design Engineer to join a leading Defence and Space technology organisation near Portsmouth in Hampshire. This role is well-suited to someone who's looking for support to improve their skills in RF / Electronic circuit design.

The role is focused on RF design, development and testing of products in the UHF / 1Ghz - 3GHz range. You'll work on the development of RF transmitters and receivers as well as power amplifiers. If you have some experience in RF design (practical or academic) thiscould be a fantastic next step in your career. You'll be given the support and opportunity to work on complex projects and learn new skills in RF design with the support of a fantastic engineering team.

The role will be based in the company's R&D HQ near Portsmouth, Hampshire.

Skills / Experience we're looking for:

  • A background in RF design and/or RF testing.
  • Some exposure to UHF transmitters and receivers.
  • Exposure to RF test and measurement equipment.
  • Electronic design experience (analogue, digital) would be beneficial but not essential.
  • An understanding of SDR (Software Defined Radio) would also be beneficial.
