An established UKAS accredited organisation with a variety of analytical testing services, have an opportunity for a Microbiologist to join the team.

The main function of the Microbiologist is to perform a variety of microbiological methods on a wide range of sample types, including the preparation of media and laboratory reagents as required.

You will also:

- Operate all instruments and equipment as instructed and ensured they are calibrated and maintained in good working order.

- Write, review and amend work instructions for equipment or test methods as appropriate in a timely manner.

- Generate certificates of analysis or technical reports as required.

- Ensure laboratory stocks are maintained to provide an efficient service and receive samples and consumables into the laboratory.

To be considered, you will ideally have a minimum of a BSc (or equivalent) in a Life Science subject. Experienced non-graduates are also encouraged to apply.
