Main Duties you will be performing:

Day to day the Mechanical Fitter will be carrying out planned re-active works on heating hot water and plumbing services throughout Portsmouth Naval Base and associated outstations. The estate consists of approx. 350+ buildings which include, accommodation, leisure, catering and recreation buildings, workshops stores and production facilities. The main tasks will be planned internal inspections of hot water calorifiers and cylinders for Legionella compliance and re-active repairs to the heating plumbing infrastructure throughout the base.

Key Tasks:

  • Provide information to supervisory and managerial levels.
  • Carry out planned and un-planned maintenance.
  • Complete work in a safe, timely, professional and efficient manner.
  • Promote a pro-active Safety Culture.
  • Ensure all works are completed and updated via Mobile Tablet

Technical Experience and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Three years post qualification experience.
  • A recognised Mechanical related apprenticeship or a City and Guilds or applicable NVQ qualification.

As part of our team, you'll need to gain and maintain security clearance. Additionally, a full UK driving license is required to facilitate travel between sites and efficiently carry out your duties.
