Managing Director of Professional Services

Are you an experienced executive with a proven track record of managing talented engineers in the built environment? Are you looking for a new challenge with aconsultancy providing design solutions and services basedin Portsmouth?

We are currently seeking a Managing Director of Professional Services to lead ateam of building surveyors, architects, civil engineers, structural engineers, and mechanical and electrical designers. The successful candidate will have experience working at an executive level within a practice or consultancy and be capable of driving and managing growth within the company. You will be joining at a period of expansive growth and be involved in the continued growth plans. You will champion the vision, values and purpose of the business and will need to have a proven track record at director level and P&L responsibility of circa 5 million in design fees.

Key responsibilities will include managing and overseeing all aspects of professional services, developing and implementing business strategies to drive growth, and maintaining strong client relationships. Working primarily on Government and MOD buildings/projects and programmes you will be required to hold security clearance (not necessary to start).

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the built environment and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Requirements for the role:

10+ years of proven experience in professional services within a senior executive leadership role

Commercial acumen, leadership, strategic and organisational skills

A business and/or engineering qualification

Security clearance to work on restricted projects and programmes.
