Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components in line with engineering specifications and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure high-quality output and make adjustments as needed.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues during production.
  • Conduct quality checks using precision measuring tools such as callipers, micrometres, and gauges.
  • Ensure that components meet required tolerances and specifications.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery of parts.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and G-code.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience with setting up and maintaining CNC lathes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Desirable:

  • Preferably apprentice trained
