Our client, a specialist contractor in roofing, cladding, and waterproofing solutions, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team based in Portsmouth. With a reputation for delivering high-quality roofing projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, they provide expert services in flat and pitched roofing systems, façade works, and refurbishment projects.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage multiple roofing contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent commercial awareness, and experience in roofing or building envelope projects.

Contracts Manager - Role Overview:

  • Managing roofing contracts from inception to completion, ensuring successful project delivery
  • Overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources to maintain cost-effective operations
  • Coordinating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution
  • Ensuring all works comply with health & safety regulations and industry standards
  • Leading and motivating roofing teams, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship
  • Identifying and resolving contractual issues, variations, and risk factors
  • Conducting site inspections, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety requirements
  • Providing regular progress reports and cost updates to senior management

Contracts Manager - Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the roofing or cladding industry
  • Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations and industry best practices
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and manage expectations
  • Full UK driving licence
