Morson are recruiting Electricians on behalf of our prestigious defence client, for a 12-month initial contract, on site in Portsmouth to work on the Prince of Wales carries and to start on the diamond project in the new year. Salary:
Local contractors
Standard: PAYE: £22.22, UMBRELLA: £25.22 (inclusive of holiday pay/hour)
Nightshift: PAYE: £28.89, UMBRELLA: £32.62 (inclusive of holiday pay/hour)
Travelling contractors
Standard: PAYE: £31.38, UMBRELLA: £35.61 (inclusive of holiday pay/hour)
Nightshift: PAYE: £38.05, UMBRELLA: £43.02 (inclusive of holiday pay/hour)
Job Description:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Reading/Interpreting Electrical Drawings, MDS and Guidance information
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Carrying out Electrical Testing on 12v, 24v, 110v, 240v & 440v systems
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Executing various crimping techniques and soldering
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and defect rectification in accordance with the project schedules to meet customer quality expectations
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Installation, testing and maintenance of communications equipment such as VHF radios, Intercom, GPS, and AIS
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Fault diagnosis and defect rectification
-         Carrying out detailed inspections and be fully conversant in the use of all measuring equipment’s
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Using of calibrating measurement equipment
Your Skills and requirements:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Trade papers, e.g. Formal Modern apprenticeship (ability to provide gold cards or papers)
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Understanding of electrical installation drawings
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Clear understanding of SHE Risks Awareness
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Understanding of manufacturing processes
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Safety certification i.e. SHE Induction, COSHH Awareness, working at height etc
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Background in major construction / manufacturing environment
