Business Services Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has an opportunity for a Finance Manager to undertake responsibility for the timely and accurate production of all monthly and annual reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to undertake either the step up in to a management position or their first move out of Public Practice within a company that has a proven track record of supporting and developing their employees.
What will the Finance Manager role involve?
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities of the position will include:
- Review and support the delivery of the company results and performance through the production and management of monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasts;
- Ensure robust working capital management and review of balance sheet reconciliations;
- Management of the annual budgeting process with appropriate challenge and oversight;
- Continual support and development of the finance team through the provision of coaching and mentoring, 121’s, performance management and succession planning;
- Review of existing internal controls and processes, implementing and driving through effective improvements where necessary;
- Management of both the Internal and External Audit, dealing with queries where necessary and liaising with key internal stakeholders to ensure the necessary information is obtained.
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy:
- Applicants for the position will hold a full accountancy qualification and possess strong technical capabilities;
- Previous experience of managing and mentoring staff would be highly beneficial as will exposure to supporting the successful implementation of improved processes and controls.
