- Manage the closure of several defined benefit pension schemes, ensuring the seamless transition of employees to new schemes.
- Take ownership of a large-scale pension scheme with circa 20,000 members, overseeing actuarial valuations, financial accounting, and bulk transfers.
- Lead large scale assets transfers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and risk management.
- Work closely with CFOs, trustees, and senior stakeholders, managing complex negotiations and tricky member issues to ensure successful project delivery.
- Drive projects under significant time pressure, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory frameworks.
- Big 4-trained, Interim Financial Consultant, Senior Actuary or finance professional with significant experience in pension scheme closures and large-scale financial transitions.
- Strong expertise in actuarial liabilities, financial accounting, and risk management related to pensions.
- Proven ability to manage high-value projects under tight deadlines and complex stakeholder environments.
- Not a pension administrator – a specialist team is already in place for this role.
