Sonic Summary

The client is seeking multiple Firmware Engineers for a 12-month contract in Portsmouth, offering a salary of £65-£75 per hour (Inside IR35).
Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Firmware Engineer, with expertise in Xilinx products.
The role involves collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a new product to the MoD, generating, testing, and integrating code for software-defined modem technologies.
Required skills include a strong understanding of DSP and VHDL encoding, as well as experience with the Atlassian toolset and hands-on use of SysML or UML.
Desirable qualifications include Python experience for testing and a background in satellite communication systems or modem technology.

Firmware Engineer SC Cleared 12-Month Contract Portsmouth – Hybrid£65-£75 p/h (Inside IR35)

Our client require multiple Firmware Engineer’s to join their team on a long-term contract.

Responsibilities:

Helping deliver a new product to the MoD
Generate, test, and integrate code for software-defined modem technologies
Work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team ensuring to meat tight deadlines
Work on Xilinx products

Skills Required:

4+ years’ professional experience being a Firmware Engineer with experience of Xilinux products (primarily use of block diagrams and non-project mode)
Understanding of DSP and VHDL encoding to a high standard
Experience with Atlassian toolset
Hands-on experience using SysML or UML

Desirable:

Python experience (testing)
Background in satellite communication systems/Modem technology
