Lead Unreal Developer - Defence

Location: Portsmouth - 2 days a week onsite

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 plus benefits

*Must be eligible for SC Clearance

We are working with a Portsmouth based team that are delivering a number of technical products for the defence sector and are looking for a Lead Unreal Developer to join them on a permanent basis

The business themselves are delivering an array of high-tech products to the UK MoD and foreign Governments to enable better use of training and simulation capabilities.

Providing augmented reality training solutions to allow customers to utilise real world systems in a digital environment, creating a virtual world to allow the full range of training effects that's not possible in the real world. Think VR headsets and realistic simulators.

Joining the VR Team, as the Lead Unreal Developer, your primary responsibility will be the structure and delivery of XR projects for clients in both the defence and private sectors, with a focus on Unreal Engine development. However, this position will also provide the opportunity to broaden your expertise in other technologies.

They are committed to continuous development and offer training opportunities for developers looking to diversify their skill set across areas such as web, mobile development, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence

They are looking for you to have experience in the following:

  • Demonstrable experience of using games technologies
  • Demonstratable skills with Unity
  • Working Knowledge of C# and Industry standard practices
  • Demonstrable experience of Virtual Reality development
  • Knowledge of other software packages include Source Control and Visual Studio
