Prospero Teaching are seeking a compassionate and dedicated tutor to work one to one with pupils from our client school in Portsmouth (PO6).

Tutors must have a sound understanding of delivering tuition to young people with Behavioural and SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH. We pride ourselves on delivering creative alternatives to schools and are looking to work with tutors and mentors who are able to think creatively about learning and willing to go the extra mile for their learners.

Position Overview:

Role: 1:1 Tutor

Location: Portsmouth (Paulsgrove)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM - 11:30 AM (3 hours per day)

Pay Rate: From £25 per hour

Start Date: Monday, 24th February

Role Responsibilities: You will provide 1:1 tuition to three pupils:

One pupil in Year 4

One pupil in Year 5

One pupil in Year 6

Each session will be one hour long, providing focused and personalised support to each student. The school will offer guidance on the specific learning objectives for each pupil.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Passion for education and supporting students
  • Previous tuition experience

Eligibility:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the online update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Two professional references related to working with children or young people
