Wellbeing Advisor (Physiologist) Portsmouth, Surrey, South of EnglandPermanent, full-timeSalary £28k-£32k per annum Our industry leading client are seeking a Wellbeing Advisor (Physiologist) to work with their customers in Portsmouth, Surrey and the South of England as required. This role is working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern which will include a morning, day and evening shift, between the hours of 8am and midnight.

Wellbeing Advisor (Physiologist) Duties:

  • To deliver lifestyle clinical assessments of patients and provide evidence-based advice tailored to the patient’s health profile (adiposity, biochemistry, blood screening) and stage of behaviour change
  • To formulate and implement written action plans based on treatment prescription, which is modified for the applicable stage of change
  • To set positive and realistic goals coaching the patient to realise their potential
  • To support patients living with lifestyle induced disease to make positive and sustainable lifestyle choices for enhanced chronic disease management
  • Give assistance and reassurance to clients during their medical tests
  • To deliver evidence-based exercise sessions to groups
  • To use specialised equipment to perform clinical physiological tests
  • To record and analyse physiological data and maintain and calibrate equipment
  • Interpreting clinical data and assess patients’ clinical risk, making informed decisions whether to escalate
  • Support the preparation and delivery of educational workshops and health & wellbeing webinars
  • Designing and implementing health promotion campaigns
  • Getting clients and equipment into correct locations and positions for events
  • Empower others to be accountable for their own health and wellbeing
  • Acts as a health and wellbeing role model, ambassador, and team player
  • Develop and promote a culture of health and wellbeing first
  • Keeping knowledge up to date through continued research and commitment to learning

Wellbeing Advisor (Physiologist) ???????Required Skills:

  • Must be a Sports Science/Health Science/Exercise Physiology/Sports Therapy Graduate
  • Qualifications in Level 2 Gym Instructing, Level 3 Personal Training and Level 3 Exercise Referral
  • Previous experience working as a Wellbeing Advisor/Physiologist
  • Must be able to commit to service customer sites in Portsmouth, Surrey and the South of England
  • Must have access to own vehicle to use for work
  • Full clean UK driving license is essential
  • Relevant experience working in a sport, medical, health, wellbeing or fitness environment
  • Experience delivering health assessments/health interventions
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including people with chronic illnesses/disabilities/mental health conditions
  • Strong understanding of health risks in the workplace and the impact this has on work
  • Knowledge of exercise progression/regression

Salary £28,000-£32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
