CMA HR Division is working exclusively with a progressive, fast paced commercial business based in Portsmouth, Hampshire to recruit a HR Business Partner on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.Reporting to the HR Director, this key role will report directly into the senior leadership team and will provide strategic project delivery within the business.The responsibilities will be broad and varied, and the ideal candidate would need to be comfortable 'rolling their sleeves up,' from an operational point of view ranging from day-to-day employee relations to all stages of strategic HR Project work.What will the HR Business Partner role involve?

  • Take a key role within the HR team to lead and develop strategic projects for the business, such as employee engagement, D&I and apprenticeship scheme. 
  • Support the coaching and upskilling of managers in the development of their people management skills.
  • Understand and interpret HR needs in each department and provide advice from a commercial perspective.
  • Update and standardise policies and procedures.

Suitable Candidate for the HR Business Partner vacancy:

  • CIPD qualified proven experience as a HR Business Partner or with the ability to work at pace.
  • Experience of dealing with Trade Unions essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of HR change management and TUPE would be beneficial
  • Experience of undertaking various projects and working with blue collar workforce
  • A credible individual who can influence stakeholders across the business
  • Commercially astute and a good understanding of the practical application of HR
