An established and reputable design firm in Portsmouth is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to join their expanding team. The practice is known for delivering sustainable, high-quality designs across a variety of residential and commercial projects.

The ideal Architectural Technologist will have extensive experience working across all stages of the design process, with strong technical expertise and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. A deep understanding of UK building regulations and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently is essential.

Experience, Responsibilities and Skills for the role of Architectural Technologist:

  • CIAT accredited, or working towards
  • Demonstrable experience in a Architectural Technologist role, with a portfolio showcasing work on residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, planning requirements, and sustainability principles.
  • Strong technical skills in creating detailed design drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineers, ensuring smooth project delivery.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to offer practical and creative solutions.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with regulations, quality standards, and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, including client engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Portsmouth.
