An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Department to join my clients team in their Portsmouth offices.

This role would be suited to someone who is currently a head of department and looking for a change or for a qualified solicitor looking to step up and take on a Head of Department role.

The role will see you being responsible for the professional lead, legal training, and supervision of the Property Team (sale & purchase, remortgage and delivery of a professional service by the teams to external and internal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- To provide leadership to the Property team to ensure organised, client focused, cost effective and efficient service delivery. - Support with recruitment, select, train, actively develop, motivate and manage Property team staff to empower them to deliver their accountabilities and achieve their full potential.- Implement and uphold all the firm’s policies and procedures.- Display the knowledge skills and behaviors required by the firm as set out in the leadership & management culture - Work with the business development team and other colleagues, to contribute to the development and delivery of effective client relationships to achieve the firm’s strategic objectives to increase property case intake.- To manage a personal part case load.Skills, Experience & Benefits:

- Qualified candidates with a Law Degree, LPC, qualified Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive (FCILEX)- Residential Conveyancing fee earning experience essential at least 5 years’ experience.- Proven track record of meeting targets.- Solid legal knowledge within the conveyancing process.- Competitive salary package depending on experience.- Workplace pension.
