Blaymires Recruitment is representing a building contractor based near Portsmouth who is searching for a Site Manager to join the business.

The company undertakes restorations and new build projects across the high-end residential, heritage sectors with projects ranging up to £2M.

The company is steadily growing and are looking for a driven, experienced Site Manager with high-end residential or heritage experience to join the business.

As Site Manager your main role will be to ensure the efficient running of the projects you are responsible for by effectively managing labour and internal resources with the support of the Contracts Manager.

The company is looking for a forward thinking, driven individual who will take control and deliver results.  There will be an expectation for you to develop, implement and embed processes and procedures to contribute to the success of the business

Responsibilities of the Site Manager:

  • To manage and be accountable for projects as directed.
  • Engage, communicate and liaise with the Contracts Manager, client, sub-contractors and other trades as required to deliver the project.
  • Ensure that contracts are within full compliance of health and safety and environmental legislation.
  • Ensure that quality is at the forefront of our operations.
  • Monitor progress against the works programme and agreed specification and manage the impact of additional work or delays.
  • Ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources on the contract and any subsequent recovery.
  • Manage the on-site aspects and influences on expenditure against allowances.
  • Ensure approval has been sought for any or all variations to the contracts as a whole and with sub-contractors.
  • Set targets and programmes in line with the overall requirements of the project for materials and resources.

Requirements of the Site Manager:

  • You will have Private Residential or High-End or Heritage building experience.
  • Site qualifications including CSCS Card & SMSTS Certificate.
  • First Aid Ticket.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
