The Engineering Team Lead position is based in Portsmouth and is a permanent role with a salary range of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of industry experience, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Systems Engineering.
The role requires strong leadership skills and experience managing teams, along with relevant qualifications such as a degree or HNC/HND in Engineering.
The Engineering Team Lead will oversee a team, manage product development, and liaise with customers while ensuring technical support and sourcing components.
Ideal candidates will have experience in the Marine industry or related fields and possess excellent communication skills and a good understanding of manufacturing processes.

They are looking for an Engineering Team Lead with knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics to join their team in Portsmouth on a permanent basis.The Engineering Team Lead will ideally have the following attributes:

5 or more years of industry experience, ideally with a background in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Systems Engineering
Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams

Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Engineering
Ideally have experience in Marine or a related industry, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Subsea or similar

Ideally be experienced working in a small business and driving for growth
Ability to drive Engineering development
Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, castings, machining etc.
The ability to understand system requirements
Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The Engineering Team Lead role will involve:

Managing a team working on the company’s product range
Being involved with Engineering/Design as well as overseeing New Product Development and Introduction processes
Taking things from concept to launch
Helping to develop existing products on a technical level
Liaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progress
Producing technical drawings as needed
Offering technical support
Sourcing and selecting components that are required
