Morson are working with an aerospace manufacturer based in Portsmouth who are looking for a Mechanical Inspector on a 6 month Fixed term contract. 

The position is working standard days and also has every other friday off.

Description of the role

Work with a team of Quality Inspectors to verify product against engineering drawings, technical specifications and detailed quality criteria to international aerospace standards

Key Responsibilities

Support a fast-paced work environment at various stages of build with the inspection of sub assembly and major products ensuring conformity and customer satisfaction.

Mandatory Requirement

  • The successful applicant will be able to interpret engineering drawings and written criteria, applying the requirements to verify product using various types of measuring equipment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with other functions of the business, written and verbally is essential.
  • The candidate will have previous experience within the aerospace manufacturing industry and a good understanding of the Quality function within.

Experiecen and Skills

  • An understanding of AS9100, AS9102, CAA Part 21G.
  • Previous Inspection experience would be an advantage, particularly inthe aerospace industry
