Job Opportunity: Electrical Project Manager - Water
Location: Portsmouth (covering wastewater projects across the South)
Salary: Up to 拢60,000 + benefits package
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take charge of wastewater projects across the South, based out of Portsmouth. Managing the project lifecycle from design to final commissioning, this role offers a dynamic leadership position with a strong focus on quality, safety, and stakeholder collaboration. Key Responsibilities
路Project Management: Lead electrical components of wastewater treatment projects, overseeing all phases from initial design through to commissioning and handover.
路Design & Implementation: Collaborate closely with engineering teams to review and approve electrical designs, ensuring alignment with project standards.
路Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination: Manage and supervise subcontractors and suppliers to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and adherence to timelines.
路Client Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with water authorities, principal contractors, and stakeholders, representing the project in key meetings.
路Project Planning & Control: Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring effective project control and reporting.
路Health & Safety Compliance: Champion strict health and safety practices on-site, ensuring compliance with CDM and industry regulations.
路Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks to maintain high standards, with diligent documentation and project tracking.
Ideal Candidate
路Qualifications: Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related field.
路Experience: Background in managing electrical projects within the water or wastewater sector, with significant site and project experience.
路Contract Expertise: Familiarity with NEC and/or IChemE contracts, along with negotiation and management skills.
路Health & Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of CDM regulations and construction health and safety requirements.
路Leadership Skills: Proactive, goal-oriented, and skilled in team leadership, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
路Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites across the South as required.
