You’ll manage subcontractor compliance, invoice processing, and monthly reconciliations, ensuring smooth financial operations.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will:
  • Maintain subcontractor records and ensure compliance with HMRC CIS regulations
  • Process invoices, applications, and reconcile statements
  • Handle subcontractor payments, retention monitoring, and valuations
  • Liaise with subcontractors and contract managers to resolve queries
  • Provide cover for purchase ledger and procurement tasks when needed
  • Assist with general administration and support team activities
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Subcontractor Ledger Clerk / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Ledger Clerk / Purchase Ledger Administrator / Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant
  • Confidence with finance processes, willingness to push procedures and authorisations effectively
  • CIS knowledge, including understanding VAT rules
  • Experience in the construction sector is advantageous
  • Confidence in IT and finance systems, ideally with Sage 50
